Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CrafterCV, available at craftercv.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

The Service is operated by FOP Illia Yushchenko, an individual entrepreneur (FOP) registered in Ukraine. You can contact us at support@craftercv.com.

2. What the Service does

CrafterCV is a web application that lets you build a professional profile and turn it into job applications. It includes:

  • a resume editor with ready templates and export to PDF;
  • a knowledge base where you keep your jobs, projects, skills and notes, which resumes and cover letters are built from;
  • cover letters and a tracker for the applications you send;
  • an optional connection to AI apps such as Claude, ChatGPT or Grok over the Model Context Protocol (MCP), described in section 6.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering and are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. Accounts are personal and may not be shared or resold.

4. Free plan and paid plans

  • The Free plan lets you build a resume and a cover letter, use every template and keep your knowledge base. PDF export carries a small CrafterCV mark, and the plan includes a limited number of AI (MCP) requests per month.
  • Paid plans unlock unlimited resumes and cover letters, unlimited AI editing, the application tracker and PDF export without the mark. Current prices and limits are shown on the pricing page and form part of these Terms.
  • The monthly plan renews automatically every month until you cancel. The three-month plan is billed once up front and renews at the end of each three-month period unless cancelled. You are shown the price and the renewal terms before you pay.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancellation stops the next charge; paid features stay available until the end of the period you already paid for, after which the account returns to Free plan limits. Your resumes, cover letters and knowledge base are kept, not deleted.
  • We may change prices or what a plan includes. Changes apply from your next renewal and we will tell you before they take effect. If you do not accept a change, cancel before the renewal.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by our reseller and Merchant of Record, Creem (creem.io). Creem is the seller of record: it handles the transaction, invoicing and any applicable taxes, and your purchase is also subject to Creem's buyer terms. We never receive or store your full card details. Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise, and tax may be added at checkout.

6. Connecting AI apps (MCP)

You can connect a third-party AI app to your account over MCP. This is optional and off by default. Before connecting, note that:

  • once you approve a connection, the connected app can read and modify the data in your CrafterCV account: resumes, cover letters, your knowledge base and application records;
  • the AI provider (for example Anthropic, OpenAI or xAI) is a separate company. Anything sent to or through their app is processed under their terms and privacy policy, not ours. We do not control what they do with it and we are not responsible for their service, availability or output;
  • you can revoke a connection at any time from your account; revoking takes effect immediately for new requests, and connection activity is logged so you can see what was accessed;
  • access tokens are personal. Do not share them or paste them anywhere other than the AI app you are connecting;
  • we may apply fair-use limits to protect the Service, including the monthly request limits shown on the pricing page.

7. AI-generated content

Parts of the Service produce text with the help of AI models: rewritten summaries, tailored resumes, cover letters. This output is a draft, not advice. AI can be inaccurate, can misstate facts and can invent details.

  • You are responsible for reviewing everything before you send it to an employer, and for making sure it is truthful.
  • You keep responsibility for the content of your applications, including any claim about your experience or qualifications.
  • We do not promise any outcome: no interviews, no offers, and no guarantee that a resume will pass any particular applicant tracking system.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • bypass or attempt to bypass plan limits, access controls or payment;
  • reverse engineer, scrape, overload or otherwise disrupt the Service;
  • upload unlawful content, malware, or personal data of other people without a legal basis to do so;
  • impersonate another person or build resumes that misrepresent someone else;
  • resell or redistribute the Service or its templates.

9. Your content and our content

You keep ownership of everything you create. You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display your content solely to operate the Service for you: rendering previews and PDFs, and passing data to an AI app when you have connected one. The Service itself, including its software, templates and design, belongs to us and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for its intended purpose.

10. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time; deletion removes your content as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, and will tell you why unless we are legally prevented from doing so. If we terminate an account without cause, we refund the unused part of a paid period.

12. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or opportunities arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including mandatory consumer rights.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above, and we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
